By popular demand the League of Ordinary Gentlemen has expanded into the world of Dynasty Fantasy Football. A true Gentleman not only respects and represents the history of an institution like fantasy football, he also does not deny but embraces the future of that institution. We are now, collectively, The Leagues of Ordinary Gentlemen represented by the original re-draft auction league as well as our new dynasty league installation: The Dynasty of Ordinary Gentlemen.
The new league is comprised of 12 franchises and was first opened up to the current 16 franchise owners in the Original league. Ten of those teams joined which allowed for two new franchises to be welcomed into the now Leagues of Ordinary Gentlemen.
The two new franchises are The Barking Irons, owned and operated by Nate Adams and Max Salevsky's Catch-22. They join the Leagues with our new redraft franchise, The Whitecastle Rippers, owned by Al Roberts and Sean Connors. The Rippers joined when The Hateful Eight moved from redraft to play exclusively in the dynasty league.
Keeping one foot firmly planted in the past with an eye to the future of fantasy football, The Leagues of Ordinary Gentlemen deepens its membership and strengthens its foundation. Look for more Gentlemen Leagues in the near future.
Your Commissioner never rests.
The League of Ordinary Gentlemen is in full swing despite being just a few days away from the kickoff of Super Bowl LIII.
League Frameworks were recently revised and revamped breathing new life into The League. Included among the many additions was the expansion of The League from 12 to 16 teams. Not all franchise owners chose to return so in addition to adding four teams several more were needed as replacements.
Founding franchises returning to The League are The Portuguese Cad O' War, Untouchable Lizzie Lice, The Skinflint Scoundrels and The Fookin' Peaky Blinders. Der Rote Kampfflieger and Mr. Fantomas will be back for a sophomore season with the remainder of The League being comprised of all Newbie-Gents.
The Hateful Eight, Captain Nemo, Meyer Lansky, The Geordie Gents, The Ducky Shincrackers, The Younker Shysters and Five Dozen Ouefs Gastons will break ground on their new franchises this season. With still a few spots available I'm looking forward to welcoming more Newbie-Gents in the weeks to come.
Among the many Frameworks enhancements The League will witness this year perhaps the most exciting is the establishment of professionally designed League and Franchise Logos. Look for those to be published in a future blog.
With so many changes and enhancements taking a regular fantasy football league to a new level it really does make this year's League of Ordinary Gentlemen:
